Duchess Kate's J Crew ribbon is sold out, but here's where you can get a hair bow just like it

How gorgeous did Kate Middleton look when she switched up her hairstyle and wore an upswept ponytail adorned with a ribbon elastic?

The Duchess of Cambridge wowed onlookers during the visit to University College London back in 2018 wearing her favourite burgundy Paule Ka skirt suit. But we have to confess - we were more excited about her hair do!

Duchess Kate often wears her hair loose, so it was lovely to see her rocking a ponytail and we loved her velvet hair ribbon, too. The hair accessory was from American high street shop J.Crew – but unfortunately has long since sold out.

Kate's hair looked gorgeous tied up in a bow-adorned hair accessory from J Crew

But luckily we've spotted some new season lookalike hair bows just like Duchess Kate's – which was actually a hair elastic with bow attached – that are perfect for this season!

Kate Middleton's hair accessories

Prince William's wife is partial to a hair accessory or two - not only are we a fan of her fabulous hats, but the royal also loves a headband - and Kate's looks would be perfect for this spring and wedding season.

During the Christening of little Prince Louis, Kate wore a bespoke creation by Jane Taylor. The 'Cassandra' cream-coloured headband featured a thick platform, appliqué flowers and a pearly look, giving her the perfect crowning glory.

When she attended her good friend Sophie Carter's 2018 nuptials, she teamed her blue Catherine Walker Coat dress with a matching blue floral headband.

Pippa Middleton's sister clearly inspired many with this look - headbands were a huge trend at Princess Eugenie's royal wedding, too.

We counted! A whopping FIVE guests opted for a headband instead of a fascinator, including the bride's sister Princess Beatrice. The royal, who was maid of honour at the star-studded nuptials, teamed her Ralph & Russo purple number with a matching purple headband, made from gathered fabric that totally complimented her auburn curls.
