Elle Fanning looks like she was pulled straight out of a fairy tale tonight.
The actor made a stunning arrival at the 2024 Golden Globes in Beverly Hills in a silky ivory strapless gown embellished with a giant bow at the neckline. The piece is a vintage Pierre Balmain dress which features a fitted bodice and an ample skirt.
Fanning wore it with matching pointy ivory heels and Cartier jewelry, including a large diamond necklace and wing-shaped diamond earrings. She wore pretty, natural makeup, including a subtle silver shadow, a thin black liner, a berry lip, and pink blush. Her hair was up in a neat, side-parted ballerina bun.

Fanning is nominated tonight in the Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy TV Series category for her lead role as 18th-century Russian empress Catherine the Great in The Great. Unfortunately, the series was canceled last year after three seasons.
In recent years, the actor has become a shining presence on red carpets, and just as elegantly shows off her style at different engagements around the world.
Last year, she went on a bit of suit streak. Fanning attended the Power Stylists Dinner in Los Angeles in a dark gray pinstripe suit from Stella McCartney’s Fall/Winter 2023 collection, composed of a buttoned vest and low-rise, wide-leg trousers. She then attended Chanel’s Cruise 2023–24 Los Angeles runway show in a sparkly all-black suit. The set was made up of a shimmering tweed blazer in a painterly white floral print and super-high-waisted pants entirely covered in sequins. And this past December, Fanning was spotted out in New York City in a relaxed all-black fit from from Michael Kors Collection that included a sleek, rolled-up blazer and ’90s-style low-rise suit pants. Fanning cinched the pants at the waist with a black belt with a gold buckle, and put a feminine spin on the outfit with a black halter top.
